5 ideas for your summer holiday in Ski amadé

Don't have any ideas for your summer holiday yet? Summer in Ski amadé offers endless possibilities for young and old. From hiking to biking, walks around the lake and various offers for the whole family on the mountains in Ski amadé, everything is included. Depending on which region you are in, there are a wide variety of options. I'll show you some of my personal highlights in this blog post.

1. Hike to the Spiegelsee lake on the Reiteralm

I simply have to reveal my personal absolute favourite first - the Spiegelsee lake on the Reiteralm is an absolute must-see on a holiday in Ski amadé. You can either walk from the valley station of the ‘Preunegg Jet’ to the Spiegelsee or take the gondola up and start from there. The view once you reach the top is simply priceless! The magnificent Dachstein massif, which is reflected in the beautifully situated lake, is sure to amaze everyone. An absolute recommendation from me

2. for mountain bikers, trail explorers, leisure cyclists and e-bikers

For the bikers among us, we also have a lot to offer in Ski amadé - a total of 7 flow trails, 8 downhill trails, 9 single trails and dedicated areas for kids. Schladming-Dachstein is the absolute trail region. On the Reiteralm, for example, you will find 17 kilometres of single trails and dedicated junior trails for kids. Fun for the whole biking family is guaranteed!

3. the Geisterberg in St. Johann-Alpendorf

If you are looking for a fun excursion destination for the whole family, the Geisterberg in St. Johann-Alpendorf is the perfect place. Under the motto ‘Welcome to the realm of funny ghosts!’, you can immerse yourself in the world of water, fire, earth and air spirits after the gondola ride on the ghost train. The Ghost Mountain Train takes you comfortably part of the way from the top station of the Alpendorf gondola lift to the centre of the Ghost Mountain Adventure World. With 40 large and small play stations with highlights such as air swings, climbing kites, bird's nests, the water world and a fairy place, there is definitely something for everyone. They make the Gernkogel real family fun.

4. Grossarl sensory trail & pleasure hike in the Grossarl Valley

The Grossarl sensory trail at the Gehwolfalm offers you a variety of stations on the 5 elements of wood, earth, fire, water and metal. You can use your senses and consciously perceive scents, sounds and the surroundings. In the best case scenario, you can also solve a puzzle, where you can pick up a small prize at the Gehwolfalm with the answer. Along the leisurely hiking trails, you can also easily reach mountain peaks, the Spiegelsee reservoir with its barefoot trail and other hiking destinations. Fun and action are guaranteed on the mountain cart, on the single trail or in the E-Trial Park.

5. Mountain go-karting on the Hochwurzen

Mountain go-karting on the Hochwurzen is great fun for the whole family. The fun sports equipment on 3 wheels delivers what it promises - lots of fun on the 7km-long route and after a hard day's hiking, it's a great change from hurtling down into the valley! Children over 1.45 metres tall can even steer their own mountain go-kart - an absolute highlight!

My tip for your summer in Ski amadé is the ALL-IN Card Green, the season ticket for the summer. Have a wonderful and varied holiday! 😉
