This is due to the fact that in the five regions of Ski amadé there are also Gault&Millau and Falstaff certified restaurants, as well as the numerous traditional mountain restaurants and ski huts. In these distinguished establishments, true gourmets can look forward to the diverse range of exquisite dishes on offer and also to the wide selection of excellent wines.

New-found tradition in the Alpine Beer Pub Markterwirt! The regional roots, the personal style of the Schneider family and the structural conditions constitute a unique atmosphere in the Gasthof in Altenmarkt-Zauchensee. Our house, in the heart of Altenmarkt, is a typical tavern. For guests a place to get to know the country and its people and to experience warm hospitality. During the day the Almbar is a popular ski chalet which is visited by skiers of the Faschinglifts. In the evening the Almbar converts into a fine restaurant with excellent food.

Every Thursday there is live music in the evening. The menu is extensive and sure to be something for every taste. On the wine list you will find the best Austrian wines.

Solely fresh local and regional produce is used for preparing the Austrian and international dishes; quite unlike the cuisine you would usually expect from an Alpine lodge eaterie. Aside from the classic Austrian rustic staples, such as spare ribs or beef filet the « Bellevue Alm » Fondue is top notch. Tempting, tasty snack dishes for in-between are also available. Classic kids‘ favourites ranging from fried pork escalope to „Berner“ sausages are on offer on the kids‘ menu. In a nutshell: good, plain cooking with served with some extra zing and at a reasonable price.

Start your day with a sumptuous breakfast buffet with regional delicacies, freshly prepared egg dishes, home-made jams, everything that you could wish for. To give you energy for your active, if requested we can provide a “Hoamat-Jause” bag of snacks. In the evening enjoy being spoiled with not only our international dishes, but also original Pinzgau specialities or vegetarian dishes.

In the land of Kaiserschmarrn and Wiener Schnitzel, culinary art plays a special role. In the Wachtelhof, guests are served Austrian fusion cuisine that allows them to rediscover childhood memories. Honest and unadulterated dishes are served here using high-quality, fresh ingredients – primarily from the region.

In summer and winter the chef seduces his guests with a multi-course menu. Breakfast and dinner can be taken in the hotel's delicacy restaurant or in the Zirbelstube, a rustic, very private séparée with space for 20-25 guests. The parlor exudes history and cosiness and is suitable for festive occasions.
