To mark the 25th anniversary of the town, the diversity of St. Johann will be celebrated with a varied town festival. Visitors can look forward to a varied (live) music programme and a colourful programme of events. Music will be played and life celebrated on the main street - from the Raiffeisenbank to the roundabout - as well as in the town park and at the Adelsberg car park.
The traditional citizens' festival kicks off on Thursday with the Bürgermusik St. Johann, which is celebrating its 190th anniversary.
On Friday, schoolchildren, the Musikum, the Bauernmusik as well as the group Taschari and the duo ‘The Strangers’ perform.
Saturday is characterised by a large parade of traditional associations. Well-known DJs, the groups Juvaranka, the Silverstones and Ks Live can be heard and seen on the stages. The highlight of the evening will be a breathtaking laser show that bathes the sky above St. Johann in a sea of colours and lights - a very special experience for visitors to the festival.
The festival concludes on Sunday with the patronal feast and a festive mass.
Admission is free on all days.
