10 tips for a cheap ski holiday – Children, young people & families Part 1
Last week I’ve told you about 5 ways to save a lot of money and I have some more tips for you:
Rent instead of buy
Long journey, little space in the trunk, extra costs if the flight is necessary and the kids ski suits and gear are really tight again? No problem with the ski equipment and ski clothing rental from INTERSPORT Rent Stores in Ski amadé. Much cheaper than buying new equipment for the kids every year because the equipment from the previous year is already too small. And for all mums and dads totally stress-free, because nobody has to lug the equipment for the whole family back and forth from the car to the hotel, to the ski area, to the hotel and back to the car – we also save you the physiotherapy. 😉
Earn money in the ski area
Yes, you read that right – you can earn cash in Ski amadé if you are in the right place on the right day, namely at the tour stops of the Cash4Tricks events in the snow parks of Ski amadé. With a total of 9 tour stops, you can cash in €5,- from the jury for every trick that is judged to be good. Top jurors from the freestyle scene give their GO or NO and also free tricks for the freestyle youngsters. Everyone is welcome, participation is free and without registration – girls and boys get ready to top up your pocket money and show what you've got! Many a child went home with more than 30,- bucks. What a fun “job”
At the end it says – the Easter Bunny is coming!
And there is still enough snow. So use the Easter holidays again for skiing in the sun? A good idea, because from March 18th until the end of the season: Children (born 2007 or later) up to the age of 15 ski for free when at least one parent buys a 6-day ski pass. Entertainment on and off the slopes is provided in the five Ski amadé regions and all locations. Tip: don't forget your proof of family and that you are registered at the same main residence 😉
Friends Club
Here's a tip for parents: Register with the Friends Club and benefit from many advantages. You are always the first to find out about ski pass or holiday offers and benefit from them exclusively as friends. In addition, you not only get a Friends Card for yourself, which you can load the ski pass on from home, but since this year you can also request one for your family members. Finally, a cool KeyCard for the kids and wait and see, there will also be advantages for the children in the not too distant future!
The right bed
An old but useful life hack: compare hotel prices. It doesn't always have to be a 4* superior hotel, fewer stars don't mean less cosiness, apartments let you get a little closer together when cooking together or offer the opportunity to discover the local culinary landscape in the evening. A room on a farm even offers you the opportunity to get to know the region a little more personally and give your children valuable impressions of how life works here with us.
