Starting point: Papageno valley station
Altitude profile: 552 hm
Route length: 3,6 km
Walking time: approx. 1 h
Difficulty: Red
Start at the parking lot of the Papageno gondola valley station in the center of Filzmoos. From here, turn left at the end of the slope onto the signposted touring trail. This path leads through the idyllic quiet forest until you reach the regular piste below the Moosalm. Here you climb up the slope for about 150 meters before turning left again into the forest. Now you follow the instructions of the touring path until you reach the back of the Rossbrand.
In a wonderful winter landscape, the path now runs flat to the mountain station of the Papageno gondola, where you can stop at the Schörgialm or change in the cross-country ski house. Finally, you swing down the perfectly groomed slopes into the valley to arrive at the starting point – the parking lot of the Papageno gondola.
Starting point: sixpack valley station
Altitude profile: 295 hm
Route length: 2,4 km
Walking time: approx. 45 min
Difficulty: Red
The starting point of this medium-difficulty ski tour is the parking lot of the sixpack Mooslehen. Next to the Atomic Brand Center, the signposted tour route starts in the direction of Mooslehenhof. After crossing a small bridge, the route goes uphill in serpentines until you reach the alpine pasture, from where you can enjoy a fantastic panorama and already have the destination in sight.
From here the route goes off-piste to the left with a short crossing of the piste at the top to the sixpack mountain station. Next to it is the Schwaigalm, which invites you to stop for a break and a change of clothes. Finally, you swing down the perfectly groomed slopes into the valley.
