Highest Farmers' Market in the Alps from 15th to 22nd March, 2025

During the Farmers' Market week from 15th to 22nd March 2025, daily specials with traditional dishes will be offered. 
The big Farmers' Market will take place on Sunday, 16th March 2025 – fresh meat fritters, a variety of market stalls and music will be available.

Our highlights:

► Smoked fish from the Windbacherhof farm

...but none is as special as the Tom alpine cabin. This may be due to the fact that in the whole of Maria Alm, no, in the whole of Salzburger Land, there is no other alpine hut with a pug (Choupette is her precious name) as a mascot. But probably also because of how we run our hut. 

In addition to a spectacular mountain panorama, we offer a good dose of taste: modern architecture is combined with rustic hut charm, the bubbly for the sundowner is specially created and the menu delivers what an alpine hut promises. Anyone expecting a classic ski lodge on the mountain will be surprised here - but that's exactly how we like it.

During the day the Almbar is a popular ski chalet which is visited by skiers of the Faschinglifts. In the evening the Almbar converts into a fine restaurant with excellent food.

Every Thursday there is live music in the evening. The menu is extensive and sure to be something for every taste. On the wine list you will find the best Austrian wines.

An impressive 360° panorama with phenomenal views in all directions awaits you at the mountain station of the Tauernkarbahn cable car at 1,890 metres. Our mascot ‘Zauchi’ is looking forward to being photographed with you. The Tauernkar is the easternmost peak of the ‘12 Peaks Trophy’ between Alpendorf in Snow Space Salzburg and the Zauchensee ski paradise.
