► The Geisterberg in St. Johann-Alpendorf is the ideal excursion destination for the whole family – whether in spring, summer or autumn. After the gondola ride, take the ghost train into the world of the water, fire, earth and air spirits. Swings, a climbing dragon, crow's nests, a water world and a fairy playground make the Gernkogel pure family fun.
► Easy to reach and yet high up in the mountains: Wagrainis Grafenberg natural mountain world in the Snow Space Salzburg. Use the raft or suspension bridge to get from the Grafenberg to the “Busy Bee” themed walk and then continue to the rope garden on the Hachau slide. Stop at the climbing wall on the way to the forest swings before taking the Path of Fascination back to the children’s farm. Enormous adventure stations promise hours of fun for young and old!

Activities such as mountain carting, via ferrata, minigolf, archery and horse riding provide additional variety. And if the weather doesn't play ball, two thermal spas with spacious family areas guarantee bathing fun and pure relaxation for young and old regardless of the weather.
The region impresses with its incredible variety – and not just when it comes to hiking or biking. One of the highlights is Prinzenberg Natrun. The Natrun cable car takes you up to 1,163 metres in just a few minutes. At the top, little adventurers can explore a fairytale castle-themed playground, while older kids can enjoy the thrilling forest slide park featuring five stainless steel slides. A visit to the Jufen archery course and a detour to the wildlife enclosure are also well worth it.
Another true family paradise is Toni’s Alpine Playground on the Karbachalm in Mühlbach. The Karbachalm cable car offers a comfortable ride to the summit. Whether it’s the water and sand play area, climbing tower, slacklines, alpine frisbee, or marble run hiking trail – kids have endless opportunities to play, explore, and burn off energy.
A unique experience also awaits at Gabühel: Austria’s first swing park at over 1,600 metres above sea level – a place where both kids and adults can really get into the swing of things.

At the adventure mountain in Grossarltal there is a lot to discover. Along the Grossarler Sinnesweg (Sense Path) there are station that focus on the elements wood, earth, fire, water and metal. At the individual stations, visitors can rely entirely on their senses.
The Himmelreichsee lake with its water playground, a mountain peak, the Spiegelsee reservoir with its barefoot path and other hiking destinations can be reached effortlessly on leisurely hiking trails.
