Route description

Above the car park is a pedestrian bridge, take this and cross the Rodelberg street, then you are on the ski slope. From the main parking lot of the Grossarl mountain railways, walk around 150 m to the valley station of the 8-seater Hochbrand cable car. The marked piste tour route starts from there. At the edge of the piste and partly through small wooded areas, the route leads to the Aigen pumping station. From there continue on the forest road. Then stay on the forest path until you reach ski route no.11. Follow this to the Berglandhaus. The hiking trail continues to the Arltörl (chapel), 1,797 m. Turning to the left, it continues until you reach the Kieserl, 1,953 m, and then the Fulseck, 2,033 m, (gondola mountain station Dorfgastein / Gipflstadl).

From there you can ski down the groomed slopes of the Grossarltal-Dorfgastein ski school back to the starting point of the 8-seater Hochbrand gondola lift.

Alternatively, the ski tour can also be ended on the Kieserl and driven back down into the valley via ski route 11.

The touring tickets include a ride on the 8-seater Hochbrand cable car to bridge the demanding lower section of the route. The route is then started in the middle station area (= mountain station for the 8-seater Hochbrand gondola lift), the difference in altitude is reduced to 700 m. Attention: the respective valid regulation of the federal government for the use of the gondola lift must be observed.

Starting point: 8er Kabinenbahn Hochbrand valley station
Destination: Fulseck
Altitude profile: 1147 hm
Route length: 7.5 km
Difficulty: Red
Duration: 3 h 15 min
