Daniel Mairamhof, the innkeeper, has wholeheartedly specialised on local produce and selected wines. Hence, it is for a good reason that the hut 'Krummholzhütte' has become Austria's  '1. Genusshütte' and it has been presented the award "Europe's most popular ski hut 2013 & 2011".

Many celebrity guests come together here, as, for instance, for the event "Schneegenuss mit Haubenkoch Johann Lafer!" (delicacies with top chef Johann Laferl) or for the shooting of Hansi Hinterseer's "Wintertraum in Schladming"!

Our à-la-carte restaurant will spoil you with hearty and typically Austrian dishes that are prepared for you freshly, with plenty of passion, by using the best regional and seasonal produce. You can’t forget to have a delicious self-distilled schnapps to help you digest your meal though, of course!

We organise the lessons according to your needs, whether it's your first attempts at skiing or perfecting your carving or deep snow technique. The highlight for children is our snow-sure and sunny children's world at the top station of the gondola lift at over 1,600 metres.

From 15th to 22nd of March 2025, the Burgstallhütte will be dedicated to the motto "Wine and schnapps meets cheese". 
Wine enjoyment from the large bottle, special cheese platters are offered daily.
